LA Tech Week Volunteer – Live Nation’s Female Founders Event

During LA Tech Week, I volunteered at Live Nation’s Female Founders event organized by the Gritty Pink team. I assisted in setting up the event space, preparing booths for various organizations, guiding guests through check-in, and supporting event flow. This experience opened my eyes to the resilience and accomplishments of female founders, as I learned about their journeys, challenges, and contributions to the tech and startup world. As the son of a professional woman and startup founder, this event gave me a newfound appreciation for my mother’s work and the dedication required to make an impact. Witnessing firsthand the struggles and successes of these women inspired me to better understand the significance of women in leadership roles, and it shifted my perspective on the value of resilience, empathy, and determination in the entrepreneurial world.

WE Global – Founderverse Summit 2024 at LA Tech Week

At the Founderverse Summit hosted by WE Global Studios during LA Tech Week, I played a key role in supporting event logistics and ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees. These experiences have not only strengthened my technical knowledge but also taught me the importance of adaptability, conflict resolution, and resilience. Together, they have inspired me to approach new challenges with curiosity, purpose, and a commitment to continuous growth.

  • June 2023 - Aug 2023
In summer of 2023, I interned at Denver University’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, working on “Ryan,” an AI robot designed to help reduce social isolation among older adults. Under the guidance of a university professor, I gained hands-on experience with robot programming and hardware. Ryan is capable of recognizing people, having conversations, playing games, reading and mimicking facial expressions, and even leading activities like yoga. My role involved supporting user interaction testing, troubleshooting responses, and learning about the electrical components that enable Ryan’s functions. Through this internship, I saw firsthand how robotics can improve quality of life, especially in assisted-living facilities where Ryan engages residents and reduces loneliness. Working on this project gave me a deeper understanding of AI’s potential in elder care. Learn more about Ryan here.
